What WORDBAND is
WORDBAND is a daily Bible-reading and reflection service for trusted friends. It supports discipleship and conversation; it does not replace a local church, pastoral care, professional counseling, medical care, or emergency services.
Your account
Provide accurate account information, protect access to your account, and use only your own identity. You must be at least 13 and legally permitted to use the service where you live. If you are not yet an adult, use WORDBAND with a parent or guardian’s awareness.
The sharing promise
WORDBAND has no private Journal mode. Nothing is shared while you type. When you press Save & share, both answers and your optional note become available to people you had already accepted as friends, after they complete that day’s reading. By saving, you deliberately consent to WORDBAND storing and sharing those faith reflections in that limited way.
The covenant
- Write truthfully and with care for the people who will read it.
- Do not threaten, harass, shame, impersonate, exploit, or target another person or group.
- Do not post sexual solicitation, hateful content, illegal material, spam, or another person’s private information.
- Do not use a friend’s reflection as entertainment, gossip, or material for public reposting.
- If something needs a real conversation, call, pray together, or meet safely. Do not substitute a feed for friendship.
Safety and moderation
WORDBAND screens shared text and lets accepted friends report profile photos or shared content. It may remove content, limit accounts, preserve necessary evidence, and respond to reports in order to protect people and the service. You can report an entry or profile, block a person, and contact Support. Blocking immediately removes the connection and prevents new friend requests.
Your content
You retain ownership of what you write and the photos you upload. You give WORDBAND only the limited permission needed to store, secure, process, and display that content as described here. Deleting an entry or account ends that permission, apart from narrow legal or safety retention when required.
Service changes and responsibility
We may improve, suspend, or discontinue features and will use reasonable care to protect stored information. Internet services can still experience interruptions or data loss, so do not use WORDBAND as your only copy of something you must preserve. Use of the service is at your own discretion and subject to applicable law.
Ending your account
You may stop using WORDBAND at any time and permanently delete your account from Profile or through the account-deletion page. We may restrict an account that materially or repeatedly violates this covenant, while providing a way to contact Support about the decision.
